2005 Koi Person of the Year - Lorri Porter
Lorri has been a member of the Niagara Frontier Koi and Pond Club for ten years.
Lorri served as a Board Member for two years in 2000 & 2001. She followed that as Vice President of the Club serving two years in 2002 & 2003, and is currently a Board Member again serving in 2004 & 2005. Lorri also willingly fills in to assist the Officers of the club as needed.
She is currently our Sunshine Chairperson and is also in charge of our monthly auctions at the Club Meetings, which run from spring to fall each year.
Lorri was among the first to volunteer to Co-Chair a Committee for the 2006 AKCA Seminar. Along with Ed Shelp, Jr. they are in charge of putting together the Transportation for all the sight-seeing Tours and the Pond Tour for the National Seminar. Lorri was also among the group of attendees at the 2005 Seminar in Tulsa, Oklahoma this past June.
She resides in North Tonawanda with her husband John. They have had ponds for the past 12 years. Two years ago they replaced their pond and the new one is home to about a dozen fish.
