The NFKPC was once again actively involved in the Erie County Fair, which ran from August 7th to the 17th, with our large display pond outside of the Creative Arts building. Special thanks go out to Gordon Ballard, who once again coordinated our club's involvement, developed the schedule of shifts, obtained passes for those who staffed the exhibit, and in general was there to handle problems that arose.
Our members staffing the display viewed a beautiful pond, covered with multiple lilies in bloom (reds, pinks, whites and yellow), and were there to answer questions from the literally thousands of people who came by. All throughout the eleven day run of the fair our members heard over and over how beautiful/spectacular/gorgeous the pond was! Most were amazed it was not put in commercially, which sparked interest in some to consider doing something similar on their own. That's what it's all about!
