The NFKPC certainly finished 2002 with a bang, holding its tenth year anniversary celebration at the Niagara Falls Aquarium on Saturday the 14th. Despite the holiday season we had a huge attendance (129 out of 133 who had pre-registered). In fact this was the largest party the Aquarium had ever hosted!
The event went off without a hitch, due largely to the concerted effort that was put in by the event coordinators, Diane Young and Tom Towers. They worked with the Aquarium staff, the caterers, and the NFKPC general membership to make the event the success it was.
An event of this size cannot be coordinated, without additional help from other members of our group. Additional thanks go out to Marlene Hyden for her trips to the Aquarium with Diane Young, and for her help with setup and serving dinner; Rosemarie Shelp and Nancy Wojnowski for helping to serve dinner; Mrs. Prucnal (Loren's mother) for making our cake; and to all the club and board members who helped in the set-up and/or clean-up processes. We could not have done it without you!
We made a very favorable impression on the Aquarium staff, based on the comments I received as the facility was closing, following the event's end. I am certain all the attendees will remember our tenth year anniversary "bash" for some time to come!
