October 10, 2014 Meeting Ghouls Around Your Pond

The Halloween Spirit is alive and well at your next NFPKC meeting on October 10th. Larry Nau, owner of Bergen’s Water Gardens  in Churchville, New York will introduce us to the world of carnivorous plants. Many of the American pitcher plants, Venus fly traps, sundews and butterworts grow in wet to semi aquatic conditions in bogs and marshes around the world.

Carnivorous plants can be grown in a bog garden, in the pond or in a container garden. Join us and meet B52, Maroon Monster, the Czech Giant and King Henry. See live examples of these plants and learn about these overlooked, beautiful and yes ghoulish plants for your pondscape.
